Turn off, restart or suspend your PC with just one key, or simply turn off the monitor to save energy.

Turn Off Monitor is a small utility that lets you shut down your monitor when you want, or when the PC is inactive for a set number of minutes, to save energy.

The application has various options you can configure to your taste. You can select a key or collection of keys for a shortcut, to turn off the screen. You can also select a shortcut icon created on the desktop to do this task, or if your prefer, via the Turn Off Monitor icon that appears in the Windows toolbar. To return to work with the PC just move the mouse and hit any key.

Via the icon in the Windows toolbar you have access to all the Turn Off Monitor functions, among which are: Add/Remove Programs, Screen Properties, Energy Properties and Options, System Properties, Sound and Audio device Properties of Internet Explorer, etc.

Also, with Turn Off Monitor you can, at any time, restart, shut down or suspend the PC without needing the Windows Start menu. And if you want, in place of shutting down the monitor, you can indicate to the program to activate the screensaver you already have configured in your PC.
